Competitors representing Great Britain in the 2008 World Firefighters Games are being encouraged to wear their nation’s colours by choosing the NEW Team GB tracksuit. Sponsored by Asset Co, the good quality tracksuits are a fresh, modern take on a classic design in the uniform colours of red, white and blue. As well as the striking WFG08 logo, the tracksuit also features the Union Jack.
WFG08 will set up camp at the new waterfront £142 million Liverpool Echo Arena when it becomes the Games Village for 10 days. An exciting Opening Ceremony at the Arena on Monday, August 25, promises to be a spectacle of colour and entertainment. It will feature an impressive competitors’ parade – this is when it would be great to see the ‘home nation’ competitors in their Team GB tracksuits lined-up alongside their firefighting colleagues from as many as 40 countries.
WFG08 is purchasing 1,000 Team GB tracksuits and will sell them at approximately half the cost price thanks to the generous sponsorship provided by Asset Co. The actual cost to competitors will be only £20 plus p&p.
The tracksuits will be available to order online mid-April via the Game’s website World Firefighter Games 2008 Merchandise.
